To protect others and those that we care for, we still test. For the same reason we wear our masks after vaccination, we still test, especially knowing the South African & U.K. strains are among us.
The Vaccine:
* Is not a shield you can still contract Covid-19
* Does not prevent you from being contagious to others vulnerable and at risk
* Can reduce the severity & course of illness
If you were in contact with someone who discovers that they have Covid-19 and may have had it at the time that you came in contact with them, and even though you may have gotten a negative Covid-19 test result you could still have Covid-19 and be a carrier!
It is a good idea to get tested after Day-3 or if you have any symptoms!
If you were exposed to Covid-19 it can take up to 3-days before you could produce a positive Covid-19 test result. It can take up to 14-days before any symptoms of Covid-19 show up. Most cases result in recovery after only 3-5 Days up to 2-Weeks. More serious cases of Covid-19 requiring hospitalization are usually resolved within 25-days resulting in either recovery or death.
At greatest risk are people over 65 years old, and people with pre-existing health conditions including high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, or diabetes, etc.
During the time from infection to recovery someone can still be contagious!
Do you have any of these life-threatening symptoms? If yes, then you should go to the urgent care or emergency room immediately, call them & tell them that you suspect that you may have Covid-19 so that they can prepare for your arrival! And, notify your primary physician.
